Escape to Yellow Stone 2020
I guess there is no one that was not affected by the Covid 19 virus in the year 2020, with no end in sight. A friend of mine recited a statement from Yogi Berra. "When you reach a fork in the road, take one." So that is what we decided to do. Linda and I have been very fortunate in recent years to have the opportunity to travel to Europe. It was either through courtesy of the USAF or Delta. We began the new year with an ambitious travel schedule. We were going to Italy in March, followed by a visit to Scotland in September. We planned to end the year with a trip to Quebec in December for the Christmas markets.
The Italy trip was cancelled first and the Scotland trip followed. We had plans to be in the Scottish Highlands just about now.... taking pictures of the long haired cows. While the Canadian trip has not been cancelled, yet, the welcome mat has not been put out. Essential travel only and the Christmas market is not on the list.
Which leads me to this new blog. Wyoming welcomes you. We leave next weekend and the high's are in the 60's. Linda and I are driving out and will pick up Amanda and Harry when they land in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Hopefully we will need a jacket and see some snow and beautiful scenery. I will try to take a picture of an elk, a buffalo and hopefully a bear.
We have sheltered in place since February in Alabama and will move our shelter to The Grand Teton Mountain range for a couple of weeks.
.This is one of the long haired cows we did not get to see.
This is the Mormon Barn in the Tetons. I will take a picture of it when we get there.
Ok this is my second test message. I seem to be caught in a google comment loop.
